Rag Mama Rag at the Butel Club

 | The CBM team was present on Saturday 16/01/10 to the first concert of the association CLUB BUTEL to Pezenas. This brand new place of forty seats, we proposed the RAG MAMA RAG and blues for years 20/30. This association is also supported by the magazine Blablablah, English French magazine. It is for the entire British population inhabiting the region, the English of all kinds and those who arrive in the region. This lets you know can any one what is happening in the region while building your English. Items (almost all) are in both languages and you need to know most is that it's free. So no excuses not to be aware of the latest gossip Languedoc, lol! But, back to that night, or the public was there. 66% French public for the first evening. So one evening Piscenoise, but as if you were in a real London club. This is also a bit this qu'aimeraient Paul and Carolyn, the instigators of the association, enjoy the atmosphere of the famous English clubs 70's. And we wish them! In all cases this will be for CBM in the promotion, because the atmosphere is warm, no one takes the lead and the mere thought of this association is to have fun. For this first duet, invited to the first heat this evening, Ashley and Deborah Dow, we have proposed to go back in time for two sets. I admit that during that same evening, the souls of Robert Johnson, Skip James, Blind Blake, Elmore James, Blind Boy Fuller and others haunted the club. A flawless interpretation that we proposed this couple (on stage and in the city), alternating labsteel, acoustic guitar, dobro, percussions, washboard and spoons. I even heard the voice of Aslhey, intonations to Rolf Lott. We also got the famous title of Cab Calloway "Minnie the Moocher", not to mention songs like Got the blues can not get satisfied, Malted Milk, Waiting for my girl to call, Mississippi Blues, Dust My Broom etc. ... The only slight negative note of the evening, except for a recalcitrant Jack early in the show is the lack of heat - the place is not quite finished, I think for the next evening, this little detail will soon be forgotten (yes, even in the south during the winter, it peels off a bit! For those who tend to believe that there is always a temperature over 20 °). For the first evening, the picture is more positive.
